Grand Wood Land

Production of pellets from wood waste, husks and straw is growing from year to year. According to the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy saving in 2011 domestic companies produced more than 650 tonnes of the product. This is 15% more than in 2010 and over 60% more than in 2009.

Such progress is explained by rapid popularization of renewable energy sources throughout the world. The driving force of the movement has been the European Union, where the authorities have been trying to reduce by all means dependence on oil and coal by using green power.
